The Deadmines mini-set did a great job shaking up the Standard Hearthstone meta. Among the biggest winners is the Warrior class, with Questline (Pirates) Warrior being among the best decks in the format, utilizing the new tools like Mr. Smite and Defias Cannoneer. The archetype stands out with a win rate of 55.5%, with a massive 15.4% popularity across all decks played since the mini-sets release.

Surprisingly the Warlock class lost much of its popularity with the Deadmines mini-set. While the Questline Warlock deck still stands out among the other Warlock archetypes, the class and archetype’s popularity is only 4.3%. A big aspect of why the class lost some popularity is the lack of new “fancy” tools like Mr. Smite for the archetype, which leaves many players looking at different playstyles.
As you might expect, Shaman still has many different archetypes seeing play in the United in Stormwind meta. The three new cards shaman received in the Deadmines Mini-set are Brilliant Macaw, Suckerhook, and Cookie the Cook, none of which have found their place yet.
While Bleed Rogue is once more the most “popular” Rogue archetype, a better ladder deck is available for the Rogue class. Questline Rogue achieved a drastic 58.1% win rate over more than 1,000 recorded games, allowing it to take the #2 spot for win rate. Despite the archetype’s crazy success, the class remains almost criminally underplayed, representing only 3.7% of the current Deadmines Standard meta. For comparison, Questline Warrior and the Aggro or Taunt Druid archetypes represent 15.4% and 11.7% of the meta, despite being very close in win rate.

The priest class is… not looking great. While the class looked poor before the Deadmines mini-set, the lack of tools makes the class incredibly weak for the average Hearthstone player. However, unlike in previous reports, the Priest Class only makes up a small amount of the Legend and top-legend decks this time around, suggesting the class may be out for the foreseeable future.
As always, Paladin remains reasonably strong and popular. With two significantly popular archetypes in Handbuff and Libram Paladin, the class is looking better than it has in recent times. Surprisingly, Paladin also returns to the Legend and Top-Legend ranks after the release of the Deadmines Mini-set, where it was previously absent.
Despite the weak additions to the Mage class, Ignite Mage just won’t die. Once more, the archetype represents a significant 5.4% of the meta, achieving a win rate of 53.0% across a sample of roughly 1500 games. Similarly unsurprising, the Mage class’ other archetypes like Hero Power Mage and Big Spell Mage continue to disappoint.

As we’ve seen throughout the Standard Datadeck reports, Face Hunter continues to perform well. While other Hunter Archetypes show some signs of life, they aren’t even in the same conversation. Face Hunter Represents only 4.4% of the meta this time around, despite the archetype’s win rate of 56.6%. Face Hunter seems a promising choice to play in the current meta until the Deadmines Meta further settles.
Once more, Aggro Druid (also known as Taunt Druid) takes the #1 spot in the United in Stormwind Meta. Since its creation months ago, the archetype has remained largely unchanged, and the deck isn’t showing any signs of stopping anytime soon. This week represents 11.7% of the Deadmines Standard meta, with the highest win rate of any archetype at 59.7%.
The Demon Hunter class appears to be taking over the position of the Priest Class in previous reports. The class fails to break the 50% win rate across all recorded games, but its most popular archetype, Big Demon Hunter, seems to be a favorite among skilled players. Especially among top-legend players, Big Demon Hunter makes up for a notable 26.3% of recorded archetypes.
