How to obtain Copper Ores & Bars in Palia

Gathering Copper in Palia

The new MMORPG Palia, by the development team of Singularity Six, is finally in its public beta stage. Palia brings out a unique mix of social gaming, skill training, and endless exploration. With only a fraction of the total content, thousands of eager participants go wild over the game, exploring together. Meet the villagers, earn gold, and decorate your own homestead in the new wonderful world of Palia.

However, as with every beta stage, numerous issues are popping up, and the Palia community raises many questions. In this series of articles, AceGameGuides hopes to help answer some of your questions and bring solutions and workarounds for various issues awaiting their fixes.

As the Palia beta progresses, one resource, in particular, is in high demand. The Copper resource is incredibly scarce, with only a few accessible locations, and its use in nearly all tier-two recipes. Below are a few tips for finding Copper throughout your journey to help you progress through the world of Palia.

Finding Copper Ore in Palia

While the intent from the developers was to find Copper Ore throughout the main city of Palia, the competition is currently very high as all players are progressing through the game from the same initial starting point. As such, it is quite difficult to find Copper Ore nodes, let alone the larger nodes that grow as the Copper Ore nodes remain untouched for longer periods. As such, most players can only access small Copper rocks, providing only two or three Copper ores, unlike the bigger nodes, which can provide up to ten Copper ores for the same effort.

However, if you want to train your Mining skill, the best place is to look at the cliffs surrounding the main city. Most rock spawns are under these cliffs, and they have a good chance of forming Copper ores for you to gather. Similarly, a spot fewer people know of is near Phoenix Falls and west of the city. Throughout the explorations of the area that is where we often find larger Copper ore spawns, as that area is less traveled as it isn’t between your homestead and the city.

The Blacksmith – Copper bars for sale

A great alternative during the early stages of Palia, where these resources are so competitive, is to purchase Copper bars directly from the Blacksmith in town, just to the left of the Inn. At the cost of only 80 gold per Copper bar, it isn’t a bad idea to spend some of your gold to help upgrade your tools instead. While this isn’t the fastest possible way of gathering your Copper, it is incredibly consistent, and it allows you to focus on other means of earning gold instead.

However, not gathering your own Copper does come with the major downside of having a low Mining level, which may cause delays for you later in your journey.
