Unlike its counterpart in the Wild, the Warlock class struggles as the nerf’s impact continues. The only popular Warlock deck left is the Questline Warlock archetype, which struggles to reach the 50% overall win rate mark. Despite that, Warlock maintains a presence of 5% in the top-legend meta, ahead of classes like Demon Hunter, Shaman, Hunter, and Mage.
The Elemental and Questline archetypes of the Shaman class continue to prove their worth. While the Shaman class is absent in the top-legend meta, Shaman is a great choice to climb some ranks. The main standout for the Shaman class is the Elemental Shaman deck, which has had a win rate of 55.2% in the past two weeks. Other decks like Evolve Shaman perform well in the low-ranks of Hearthstone but show a significant drop in strength the higher the opponents’ rank.
While Bleed Rogue maintains a win rate of under 50%, it seems regular players are starting to understand what makes the deck as powerful as top-legend players make it out to be. A staggering 45.3% of top-legend games we recorded included one or more Rogue players, which continues to increase as the meta continues to settle. Rogue’s other popular archetypes like Poison and Questline Rogue maintain similarly lackluster win rates at 47.5 and 50.8%, respectively.

In a similar position to the Bleed Rogue deck is the entire Priest class. Priest is the least popular Hearthstone class by far in the current meta, with only 4.9% of players choosing the class. Despite that, the class represents a notable 17.9% of top-legend decks. We can largely explain the lack of popularity in the Priest class at the lower Hearthstone ranks by the win rate of Questline Priest, the most popular Priest archetype. The deck, for your average average “good” player, has a win rate of 41.6%! That is one of the lowest win rates of a popular archetype we have ever recorded.
The Paladin class represents the #2 most successful archetype in the current Standard Hearthstone meta with Libram Paladin. With more than 5000 recorded games, the deck finds itself with a win rate of 55.8%. In addition, the other popular Paladin archetype Handbuff Paladin also proves powerful with a win rate of 53.7% over around 2600 recorded games.
The Mage class effectively only has a single viable deck in the current Standard Hearthstone meta. The Questline, or Ignite Mage deck, represents a staggering 84.7% of all Mage archetypes. The Quest Mage deck proves powerful with a win rate of 52.4%, despite being the most popular deck in the current meta. The second-most popular Mage archetype, Hero Power Mage, struggles to find any success despite more than a thousand recorded matches in the past two weeks.

The Hunter class continues to “struggle” compared to previous weeks. Don’t get us wrong; Hunter is still a great deck to climb with, as decks like Face Hunter achieve a win rate of 53.7% overall. However, when we look back at previous weeks, Hunter maintained win rates several % higher across the board. With classes like Druid, Paladin, and Shaman continuing to perform, decks like Face Hunter just struggle to find the path to success more than they used to.

These past weeks were another successful period for the Aggro or Taunt Druid archetype. A massive win rate of 56% while being the second-most popular archetype in the entire meta proves the deck is here to stay. The other popular Druid archetype, the Spell or Celestial Alignment Druid decks, struggle to maintain a win rate even close to Aggro Druid. In part, the reason for Celestial Alignment’s struggle is the fact that Aggro Druid is an incredibly poor matchup for the archetype. That said, The Celestial Alignment archetype is worth remembering for its matchup into the most popular deck in the format, Questline Mage.
As in previous weeks, Deathrattle Demon Hunter continues to stand out as the go-to Demon Hunter archetype. This time managing a win rate worthy of #5 in the format at 54.8% across almost 2500 matches. The other popular Demon Hunter archetypes, like Questline Lifesteal Demon Hunter or Fel Demon Hunter, don’t come close to matching the success that the Deathrattle archetype maintains in the current Standard Hearthstone meta.
